About Country Comfort Retirement Homes
At Country Comfort Retirement Homes (CCRH) we provide the highest quality of personal care, focusing on the dignity and independence of our residents through various stages of Alzheimer’s disease and other memory loss disorders. We take pride in housing residents in a home-like environment with 24-hour Certified Nursing Assistants on duty along with the nursing staff. CCRH also believes in providing staffing ratios (staff to resident) that far exceed state standards in Assisted Living. Housing 12-16 residents allow staff to spend quality one-on-one time and provide quality personal care for each resident.
We believe it is important to maintain an open and ongoing supportive relationship with families and or decision makers so that all parties have a clear understanding of what constitutes the best care and well-being of their loved one. Our staff is trained in specialized activity programs and care approaches to meet the needs of each resident on an individual basis. CCRH believes in natural holistic care whenever possible. We use natural oils as opposed to medication to treat simple ailments and behaviors. This holistic approach combined with one-on-one interaction between staff and residents during times of increased care needs, goes hand in hand with the natural home setting we provide.
“Safe Haven”, our Alzheimer’s Special Care Unit, reflects a home environment in which special need seniors can thrive. A secured wander area allows residents to feel at home while participating in activities that provide them the ability to maintain the highest level of independence. “Safe Haven” is where residents can continue to thrive in a residential setting while receiving the professional assistance and individualized structured support they need 24-hours a day.
We provide a variety of services designed to support residents in their golden years.
Promoting Memory and Family Ties
The family members at CCRH's "Safe Haven" play a vital role in the care of our residents. We form a strong working relationship between families and staff members to best meet the needs of each resident. This relationship is established as a partnership at the time of the very first inquiry and continues following admission.
Resident’s families are true historians, providing information that enables staff to support and reinforce each resident's past. We encourage families to bring items from home for their loved ones room in order to create a more home-like atmosphere. "Safe Haven" family members are always invited to attend activities and special events as well as Care Plan sessions.
